Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forestは、Warrior Cats初の公式ビデオゲームとして2026年10月23日に発売予定のターン制アドベンチャーRPGです。プレイヤーは自分だけのWarrior Catを作成し、apprenticeとしてClan生活を始め、ThunderClan、RiverClan、ShadowClan、WindClanの4つのstory campaignを体験します。狩り、探索、素材集め、denのクラフト、relationship、turn-based battle、StarClanに関わる物語が一つの作品にまとめられています。[1][2]
まず確認したい基本情報
発売日はもうTBAではありません。WarriorCats.com、Steam、PlayStation、Xbox、Nintendoのcurrent official pagesで2026年10月23日が確認できます。[1][3] 対応機種はPC、PlayStation 5、Xbox Series X|S、Nintendo Switch、Nintendo Switch 2です。詳しくは発売日・予約情報と対応機種ガイドを参照してください。
米国PlayStation/Xbox StoreではStandard Editionが$29.99、Feral Editionが$39.99ですが、地域によって価格や予約条件は異なります。Feral EditionにはProphecy Packが含まれ、current preorder listingではPurrfect Look Packも案内されています。[4][5]
3つのゲームモード
現在確認されているgame typeはProphecy Mode、Defender Mode、Skirmish Modeの3つです。Steamのcurrent feature listでは、Prophecyは4つのClan story、Defenderは1回のrunで強敵と戦い続けるendurance-style mode、Skirmishは他playerとのasynchronous battleと説明されています。[3]
リアルタイムPvP、ranked ladder、live co-op campaign、MMO serverは確認されていません。オンライン機能があることだけを理由に「multiplayer MMO」と分類するのは不正確です。詳しい仕組みはゲームプレイ攻略で整理しています。
4つのClan、4つのfull story
プレイ可能なstory campaignはThunderClan、RiverClan、ShadowClan、WindClanです。Trailmark Gamesは「4 Clans, 4 Full Stories」と説明し、各campaignがClanのculture、conflicts、traditionsによって形作られ、異なるprophecy、rivalry、characters、challengeを持つとしています。[2]
それぞれのconfirmed environmentは、ThunderClanがdense forests、RiverClanがmarshlands、ShadowClanがdark pine swamps、WindClanがopen moorsです。[3] ただし、原作でよく知られたClanの特徴をそのままnumeric buffやRPG classに置き換えるべきではありません。Clan専用moveは確認されていますが、完全なstatsやtier listは未公開です。4つのClan比較ではこの区別を詳しく解説しています。
自分だけのWarrior Catを作る
主人公は書籍seriesの固定catではなく、自分でnameとappearanceを決めるoriginal Warrior Catです。Official descriptionsはfur pattern、color、tail、whisker、ear、eye、markingなどのcustomizationを挙げ、Steamはmillions of combinationsと表現しています。[2][3]
customizationは見た目だけではありません。combatではmove setを組み、denではcrafted/unlocked decorationを置けます。ただし、完全なstat allocation、level cap、全75moveのlearn requirementは発売前には公開されていません。
書籍シリーズのキャラクターも登場
official announcementはbook seriesからiconic characterが登場すると説明しています。reveal artworkではBrightheart、Tawnypelt、Tallstar、Ivypoolが直接確認され、Steamは9 cats from the book seriesに会えるとしています。[1][3]
ただし9体全員の完全なofficial rosterはまだ公開されていません。community guessを「確定キャラ一覧」として掲載する段階ではありません。
6つのiconic locationを探索
officially named locationは、ThunderClan territory、RiverClan territory、ShadowClan territory、WindClan territory、Moonpool、The Islandの6か所です。探索ではtree climbing、undergrowthへのpounce、scent tracking、hidden path、secret area、environmental puzzleが説明されています。[2][3]
プレイヤーが誤解しやすい点：探索が広い＝open world？
現在のofficial descriptionはゲームをopen worldとは呼んでいません。探索要素が豊富であることと、全territoryがseamlessに接続されたopen-world mapであることは別です。map boundaryとtravel structureはrelease buildでの確認が必要です。
ターン制戦闘・狩り・素材集め・crafting
battleはturn-basedで最大3対3。Steamは75 unique combat movesをdiscover/unlockできると説明しています。Trailmarkはspecialized Clan move、enemy weakness、combat stance、StarClan ancestor attackも紹介しています。[2][3]
狩りではbirds、rabbits、squirrelsなどを追い、Clanを養います。フィールドではmaterialsをforageし、den itemをcraftできます。official exampleにはbeddingとscratching postがあります。[2]
Choice・quest・relationship
4つのstoryにはdynamic questとbranching choiceが含まれます。Trailmarkはplayer actionがrelationship、rivalry、reputationへ影響すると説明し、SteamはquestによってClan favorを得られるとしています。[2][3]
ただし、favorとreputationが同一のnumeric systemなのか、romance meterやmorality scoreがあるのかは未確認です。発売前に存在しないmeterを作って攻略情報として掲載しません。
非同期online feature
Skirmish Mode以外にも、friend campをonlineで訪問し、customized warriorやdenを見せたり、友人向けにitemをcraftしたり、resource/materialをgiftできるとSteamは説明しています。[3]
full crossplay、real-time co-op、shared worldは未確認です。XboxではXbox Play Anywhereがlistedされていますが、それを全platform cross-progressionへ拡大解釈しないようにしています。[5]
