Named returning characters
The official Warrior Cats announcement is unusually specific: its cover art includes Tawnypelt and Brightheart in the background, and separate announcement artwork features Brightheart, Tawnypelt, Tallstar and Ivypool. The article says these are “just a few” of the iconic characters players can encounter.[1]
What “encounter” means—and what it does not
Being confirmed as an encounter does not automatically mean a character is playable, recruitable, a mentor, a boss or part of a particular campaign. Those roles should be documented character by character only when footage, official descriptions or the released game establishes them.
Original characters matter too
Trailmark says the returning cats appear alongside an original cast created for the unfolding game story, and players can form alliances and learn from powerful mentors.[2] That means the game is not simply retelling a book arc with a familiar cast. A good character database will need separate labels for book-origin characters, game-original characters and the player-created protagonist.
